For executors and solicitors

If you've been trusted to administer someone's Will, and they've left us a gift — we're here to help.

How can we help you?

We are so grateful for all the work you are doing as an executor or solicitor.

From funding ground-breaking research into early detection, to providing specialist nurse support so no one has to face a diagnosis alone, every precious gift will help transform the future for everyone affected by pancreatic cancer.

We understand that being an executor can be a daunting task, and if you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact our Gifts in Wills team at legacies@pancreaticcancer.org.uk .

While we are unable to provide legal advice, we are happy to offer guidance where we can. The Institute of Legacy Management has written a helpful guide for executors, which you may also find useful.

What information does Pancreatic Cancer UK need from you?

At Pancreatic Cancer UK, we administer all gifts in Wills in accordance with Charity Commission guidelines.

If we have kindly been left a share of an estate, we would be very grateful to receive:

  • A copy of the Will
  • A list of the assets and liabilities of the estate

And when you are ready to make the final payments from the estate:

  • A copy of the estate accounts
  • A tax deduction certificate (form R185) if applicable

If we have kindly been left a fixed cash gift, we would be very grateful to receive:

  • a copy of the Will or an extract that contains our gift, if possible

How can I pay a gift in a Will to Pancreatic Cancer UK?

By cheque

Cheques should be made payable to ‘Pancreatic Cancer UK’ and sent to: Gifts in Wills Team, Pancreatic Cancer UK, Queen Elizabeth House, 4 St Dunstan’s Hill, London EC3R 8AD.

We ask that you include a short note telling us the name and address of the person who has kindly left the gift in their Will. We will then make sure to update our records.

By bank transfer

If you would prefer to make a bank transfer, please contact our Gifts in Wills team on legacies@pancreaticcancer.org.uk to arrange this.

Thank you again for all your hard work. We really appreciate it.
