Our speakers


Lisa Woodrow
Specialist Pancreatic Cancer Nurse, Pancreatic Cancer UK
Lisa has worked in a variety of settings including on a gastroenterology ward, intensive care unit, as a research nurse running clinical trials and latterly worked for over a decade as a specialist nurse looking after patients with pancreatic and liver cancer in a specialist centre in London. Her main focus has been providing care and support for patients having surgery, and she has done this predominantly in the NHS, but also in the private hospital setting. She has been a specialist nurse here at PCUK for 5 years.

Dr Dan Monnery
Senior Specialist HPB Dietitian, Consultant in Palliative Medicine, The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust
Dan Monnery is a consultant in palliative medicine at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in Liverpool and the national lead for Enhanced Supportive Care (ESC) within the UK Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (UKASCC), having been the NHSE national clinical advisor from 2021-22. His clinical work focusses on early symptom intervention through integration of supportive care services and has a special interest in HPB cancer. Dan’s non-clinical interest is in development of quantitative outcome measures from ESC and palliative care interventions to help drive commissioning in this area.
