Supporting patients with pancreatic cancer: for health care professionals working in supportive roles

This free, online, two-part event is designed for all health care professionals working in supportive roles with people with pancreatic cancer. The sessions will give you a good knowledge and understanding of the key areas of a pancreatic cancer patient’s pathway.
What can I expect to learn?
Part one will cover:
- An introduction to pancreatic cancer
- The emotional impact of a pancreatic cancer diagnosis and how you can support your patients while looking after yourself
- The importance of prehabilitation and rehabilitation
- The treatment options for pancreatic cancer
Part two will cover:
- Palliative and end of life care
- Dietetic management
- Fatigue management
- Pain management
Who is this event series for?
All health care professionals who are responsible for supporting and co-ordinating the pathway of pancreatic cancer patients.
Your job title might be: patient navigator, support worker, patient pathway co-ordinator, MDT co-ordinator, pancreatic cancer trial co-ordinator or support & information manager / specialist / co-ordinator.
If your job title isn’t listed but the event sounds relevant for your role, please do sign up – the more the merrier!

What platform will these sessions be hosted on?
These events will be held on Zoom Webinar. After you book, we will send you an email with a link to join the session. You can join on a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone – any device with an internet connection.
If you don’t have access to the internet, you can also dial in from a standard telephone.
Will the sessions be recorded?
We will be recording each of the sessions. After each event, we will email all registrants with a link to the recording and presentation slides. So if you’re unable to join a live session, you will be able to catch up at a later date.
