You may be told the stage of cancer. This describes the size of the cancer, if it has spread outside the pancreas and where to.

What is stage 1 pancreatic cancer?

Stage 1 cancer means that the cancer is contained inside your pancreas. This is early, localised pancreatic cancer. This is also called operable or resectable cancer because surgery may be possible.

Possible treatments:  Surgery to remove the cancer and chemotherapy after the surgery.
