New documentary about Sven-Göran Eriksson
Sven-Göran Eriksson talks about his pancreatic cancer diagnosis in a new documentary.
Today, Amazon Prime Sport released a poignant documentary called “Sven” about Sven-Göran Eriksson – former manager of the England Men’s football team. In the documentary Sven made the incredibly decision to speak about his experience with pancreatic cancer.
In January of this year, Sven announced that he had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and had been given around a year to live. In the documentary, he speaks candidly about his health, and the treatment he is undergoing to extend his life.
In a heartfelt clip Sven called out for people to “Take care of yourself and take care of your life. And live it.” Tragically, his life will be cut short by pancreatic cancer, but we hope that many more people will now be aware of the disease and its symptoms because of Sven’s words, a legacy as significant as any of his many accomplishments as a football manager.
