When Stu suffered persistent back and abdominal pain, he waited months for an MRI scan. Only then was the full extent of his diagnosis revealed, and just four months after finding out he had pancreatic cancer he passed away. His partner Jess sought comfort with one of our specialist nurses through the Support Line.

“She got the in-hospital palliative care team involved with Stu and that utterly changed things for us – for his dignity and the care that he got. She was just really brilliant.”
