Pancreatic cancer and emotional wellbeing

Tuesday 4th February 2025, 6-7pm via Zoom

About this webinar:

Pancreatic cancer can affect every part of your life, including your emotions. Whether you’ve been diagnosed yourself, or are supporting a loved one, it’s normal to need some support. In this session we talked openly about what to expect and shared some practical tips for how to look after your emotional wellbeing.

We heard from two of our Specialist Nurses, Lisa and Jeni, who help people affected by pancreatic cancer every day on our Support Line and we were also very excited to welcome Tara White, Centre Head of Maggie’s Swansea, who will be joining us for this session.

What we covered

Lisa, Jeni and Tara talked about the range of emotions you may experience after a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, whether yours or someone you’re supporting. We then thought about how this may impact you and how to manage these emotions. The session includes practical tips to help you get the right support – from talking to friends and family, to reaching out to us and other organisations.

There was an opportunity to ask questions, and Tara shared some useful relaxation exercises.
